On that exotic island, the last island on the Caribbean chain, Trinidad, where I was born and raised, is a land made up of many cultures, each with its own traditions and history. This diversity taught me that true love isn’t confined to a single culture or place—it transcends all boundaries. It’s why I wanted to write Across the Distance. The book is about more than just romantic love—it’s about the power of connection, the strength of bonds, and the ability to stay true to one another even when miles apart.
